Dear residents, relatives and friends, I hope this message finds you well and you’re having a positive start to 2021. The summer days are now officially behind us and it’s very reassuring to see that the recent COVID-19 clusters in Victoria appear to be under control.
As always, we remain committed to your safety and will continue to ensure that we follow all the guidance and directions put in place by the Department of Health to keep our residents, their families and our staff safe moving forward.
You may have noticed that we’ve implemented a QR code entry tracking system recently. The system is for all residents, staff and contractors and involves either:
- scanning the code with a phone camera and following the instructions; or,
- tapping on the relevant App on the touch screen at
reception and following the instructions.
It’s very similar to systems that are currently being used in the hospitality industry at cafés and restaurants. So far, the feedback has been fantastic with visitors reporting back how easy it is to use and environmentally-friendly too! If you’d like some further information on the App, please go to https://entrytrakr.com/ for more information.
Last year, in what was arguably one of the toughest our industry has experienced, each of our departments tackled the challenges of COVID-19 head on and in the face of it continued to deliver outstanding care to our residents. We saw our fantastic team bind even closer together supporting each other to enable us to continue to provide premium quality care and most importantly keep all of our residents safe.
We are very proud of all their hard work and extremely grateful for their ongoing commitment.
We embrace a new year that will no doubt have its own set of challenges. However, with the learnings and qualities developed by all in 2020, we feel we are even better prepared to confront whatever may come our way. Our team remains committed to making every day a special one at Kew Gardens.
We wish you a wonderful year ahead.
Best Wishes,
Edward Matthies
